To make life simple and to give you full control over your headshot session and your budget. We have a very simple booking structure.
We run 3 sessions per day, beginning at 7am. There is no official end time or lenght to the session, You can leave whenever you need. Essentially John is at your disposal for up to 2 hours.
The session fee is €400 for new clients, or €300 for returning clients.
During and at the end of the session you will select the images you want from the shoot for €25 per image. These will be retouched by our retouching partners and returned to you within 48hrs.
John offers 25% off any session for any returning clients, kids under 18 and students involved in any acting classes.
There is a 50% deposit required to book a session and any discounts that you are to receive will be deducted from your final invoice upon completion of your session.
When you are done shooting you'll go through the pictures with John one by one to decide which shots best represent you and your needs.
We will then send you on a digital contact sheet with all of the images that worked with their reference numbers, the images will be kept on your file and are available for up to 12 months after the session.
Each additional image you select to keep costs €25 and includes professional retouching.

Our corporate sessions are designed for groups of people that need a consistent look and feel for their brand.
Although we often have our clientele come to our studio, we are just as happy to setup at a location of your choice as well.
Many companies also have an ongoing relationship with us that allows their new team members the flexibility of dropping by the studio at their convenience.
Does your company have multiple locations? John is part of a network of associate photographers all over the world.
These photographers, like John have been trained by Peter Hurley allowing us to create a consistent look for your brand, no matter where your employees are located.

NB: Zoom and Digital Event Talks are at a subsidised rate due to the difficult circumstances most businesses find them in during the COVID 19 crisis. These prices will return to normal rates once life is a bit more stable.
John
THE SESSION
First things first!
You need to get here. So we have a handy map and links on Google Maps.
This is a session with a bit of a twist. By merging elements of human sciences with world class portrait photography, John studies each person individually to recreate the movements, inflections and micro expressions that make you, you.
Recreating these movements and compensating for the differences between how the technology sees and how we see, John works to show each person the difference between what they see, and what those around them actually do by reviewing the images live throughout the session. Always looking for the “Substance over Superficial.”
At the end of the session, we'll do a review of the images. You'll be narrowing them down to only your favourites that you'd like to keep and any additional images you would like to purchase.
CLOTHING
Feel free to bring a range of different options for clothing. If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you most likely won’t shoot well while wearing it. We suggest you bring a range of different cuts, colors, and necklines.
For our corporate clients, we like the men to have a variety of jacket/shirt/tie combos and for the women some options of blouse/dress/jacket combos. Keeping jewelry to a minimum is key, studs or small earrings work and simple necklaces, anything hanging or chunky will usually draw too much attention to itself.
If you wear glasses and have multiple pairs, then we'd appreciate you bringing them along in order to ascertain their glare factor. If you have any doubt about whether something will work or not just bring it. Layers are fantastic for the actors and no need to be seasonal; everything from t-shirts, tank tops to sweaters and light jackets can work.
Have some fun with this, if you feel your wardrobe is missing something then go shopping and we’ll keep the tags on it in case you’d like to return the items after the shoot.
HAIR AND MAKEUP
Women's makeup:
Makeup for the session is not required but highly recommended for all women. John works with some of the best makeup artists in Ireland and is happy to put you in contact with them for your session. If you are having it done privately, the makeup should be natural as if for an interview, not Saturday night on the tiles, unless of course you are using the images for Tinder!
The makeup is applied specifically for the lighting we use and we usually start very naturally to give you a very clean simple look. We do touch ups and will add subtle changes to the makeup as the shoot progresses. If you’d like to start off a little heavier on the makeup we are happy to do that as well, just let us know.
Women's hair:
We ask that everyone come in with their hair ready the way you would like to present yourself. We want your hair in your pictures to be as close as possible to the way you look on a fantastic hair day and can't have you showing up to the studio as if you just rolled out of bed.
Men:
We don't recommend makeup on men, but we can connect you in with one of our makeup artists if you wish to book one. Our professional retouching usually covers any issues that may arise skin wise, so there are no worries in that dept.
Facial Hair:
If you’d like to shoot with facial hair we’d be happy for you to come in with whatever level of growth you’d like and can shave or trim it down once we’ve gotten the scruff covered. Bring whatever grooming products you’ll need with you to get it done.
SCHEDULING AND PAYMENTS
We normally are available Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm. John has been known to work miracles at 4.30am for people on the way to conferences around the globe or to shoot on strange hours if it is a real emergency. There is no surcharge for out of hours work, so if you have a query, just let us know.
A €50 non-refundable deposit is required to book a spot on our calendar. The fee is due at the time of booking a shoot date and time. You may book online here or contact us and we will get you set up with a session that perfect for you.
We accept cash, as well as debit and credit cards. The remaining balance is due the day of the session. For corporate clients, we have an invoicing system and all prices are inclusive of VAT.
We work with freelance makeup artists and you will be paying them directly, they require cash on the day of the shoot.
